Tech for Resilience & Resilient Tech
Discussion of leveraging digital technology to build resilient communities, the Rockefeller Foundation Technologies for Resilience project in Asia-Pacific, and the Digital Technology for Resilience Planning and Due Diligence Tool. I emphasized that tech developers should anticipate potential harms rather than addressing consequences retroactively.

As mSTAR’s Regional ICT and Digital Finance Advisor, I discussed how digital financial services are transforming Bangladesh, the financial inclusion challenges facing low-income communities, and how mSTAR/Bangladesh has supported the development, promotion, and uptake of digital financial services aligned with the needs of financially excluded populations. mSTAR uses DFS to boost the agricultural sector in Bangladesh
A short documentary on mSTAR’s work expanding digital financial services in Bangladesh’s agricultural value chains. The project ultimately helped enroll 25,000+ individuals (most of them women) into digital financial accounts and supported the digitization of more than $2.7 million in financial services.
